Information For Authors

Authors intending to publish in the FUDMA International Journal of Library Science and Information Management (FUDIJLSIM) are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Originality

Manuscripts submitted for publication must be original, unpublished works written in the English language. They should make a significant scholarly contribution to knowledge and must not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. Copyright

Upon acceptance for publication, the copyright of the manuscript shall be transferred to the FUDMA International Journal of Library Science and Information Management (FUDIJLSIM). Authors retain responsibility for the originality and accuracy of the content.

3. Title Page

The title page should include the following information:

  • Title of the manuscript

  • Full name(s) of the author(s) (surname should appear first or be written in capital letters)

  • Institutional affiliation(s)

  • Email address(es)

  • Telephone number(s)

  • ORCID iD (where available)

4. Abstract and Keywords

Each manuscript should include:

  • An abstract of not more than 250 words

  • Three to five (3–5) keywords

  • The abstract should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font, single line spacing

The main manuscript should be prepared using:

  • Times New Roman

  • 12-point font size

  • Double line spacing

5. Manuscript Structure

Authors are encouraged to organize their manuscripts using the following format:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract

  3. Keywords

  4. Introduction

  5. Statement of the Problem

  6. Objectives of the Study

  7. Research Questions and/or Hypotheses (where applicable)

  8. Methodology

  9. Results

  10. Discussion of Findings

  11. Conclusion

  12. Recommendations

  13. References

6. Referencing Style

All references and in-text citations must strictly conform to the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual, 7th Edition.

7. Submission of Manuscripts

Authors should submit an electronic copy of their manuscript in Microsoft Word format via email to either of the following addresses:

8. Assessment and Publication Fees

An initial non-refundable assessment fee of ₦5,000 is required upon submission. Evidence of payment should be scanned and submitted together with the manuscript.

Upon acceptance for publication, authors will be required to pay a publication fee of ₦25,000 (for Nigerian authors) or USD 100 (for international authors).

9. Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process and are evaluated independently by at least two experts in the relevant field before a publication decision is made.
